Landowners and developers are being asked to suggest suitable sites for a variety of future projects in the county.
The request is for sites relevant to housing, employment, renewable energy, green or blue infrastructure, biodiversity, community facilities, and mixed-use schemes.
Herefordshire Council clarified that submitting a site does not guarantee allocation, but it aids in their planning efforts.
An update to the National Planning Policy Framework has set a 20-year housing requirement for 27,260 dwellings in the county.
Councillor Elissa Swinglehurst, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: "The call for sites is a very important step in our planning processes as we seek to develop a new Local Plan for Herefordshire.
"We have been given a mandatory housing target of 27,260 by the Government which will need to be accommodated along with the employment, educational, health, transport and environmental infrastructure to support that level of growth."
The council is encouraging others to contribute ideas, and site suggestions can be made on their new digital platform.
