The Saints lost one of their brightest sparks Tuesday when wide receiver and return specialist Rashid Shaheed was traded to the Seattle Seahawks, ending a three-year run that turned the undrafted speedster into a fan favorite in New Orleans.
Shaheed joined the Saints in 2022 out of Weber State and quickly became known for his game-breaking speed, scoring touchdowns on his first two touches in the NFL. Over three-plus seasons, he totaled more than 2,000 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns and a handful of highlight-reel punt returns that electrified the Superdome crowd.
His versatility made him one of the few consistent deep-threat options in the Saints' offense and earned him All-Pro recognition as a returner.
