EastEnders fans fear star has quit BBC soap after 'disappearing' from show - The Mirror

EastEnders fans have been expressing their worries that a star has quit the iconic soap after they've suddenly disappeared from the Square. The BBC show is no stranger to airing dark storylines and recently it has been no different.

One character has "gone missing" in recent episodes and viewers have been left wondering if he'll be coming back. Earlier this month fans watched Harry Mitchell being taken hostage by Okie and Ravi.

This came after he was forced to sell drugs by the pair who run a major operation in East London. Harry complained about being exploited which is when Ravi and Okie held him captive.

When Ravi went on holiday, Okie was meant to let Harry go but this is yet to happen. Just before he was abducted, Harry told his mum Nicola Mitchell, played by Laura Doddington, about being involved in the drug ring.

However, even though she now knows about the involvement, Nicola is yet to worry about her son going missing. This has meant that fans have been left worrying that the actress has left the soap.

Fans of EastEnders have taken to social media to talk about their theories. One wrote: "I don't know but she is sorely missed. Need her back now to sort out Ravi once and for all."

A second added: "So......where is Nicola off to? She has disappeared?," as a third commented: "Where is Nicola? Has the actress left the soap?"

Laura joined the programme as the new head of the infamous Mitchell family. BBC bosses hired the actress to play the ex-wife of Teddy Mitchell.

She first appeared on Albert Square back in November last year when she arrived to get Harry once again out of trouble. However, the star has had a successful career before this.

She starred in several major TV shows such as Holby City, Casualty, Doctor Who and The Bill. However, it turns out that this isn't her first time on EastEnders either.

Laura bagged a part in the soap when she played a completely different character 15 years ago. Back in 2009, Laura played a teacher at a birthing class Zainab and Masood went to.

EastEnders fans in Wales can expect some schedule changes to tonight's programme. Over on BBC One, most of Britain can tune into EastEnders as usual.

However, for those in Wales, the situation is slightly different. The Walford drama will air on BBC Two Wales at the 7.30pm due to Match of the Day's coverage of Wales v Poland.
