UK-based seating manufacturer Boulies today announces the launch of its newest ergonomic model, the OP180 Ergonomic Desk Chair. I've reviewed Boulies gaming chairs in the past but never one of its office chairs. I honestly prefer gaming chairs, but I do know that some prefer this style over gaming styles. So here's what the press release had to say about this new chair.
Estimated reading time: 4 minutes
Designed with comfort at its core, the OP180 features a plush, pressure-relieving cushioned seat that strikes an ideal balance between softness and structured support, making it suitable for extended periods of sitting -- particularly those working 8 hours or more each day. This is paired with a high-tension mesh backrest that delivers firm, breathable support and efficient airflow, keeping the user cool and comfortable through changing workloads, extended calls, or intense focus sessions.
Boulies has equipped the OP180 with its new heavy-duty tilt mechanism, engineered for durability and smooth movement during daily use. The seat itself also includes a forward and backward tilt function, enabling users to lean forward when working intensely for a focused sitting position with a straight back or recline slightly during reading or breaks, all while maintaining stable, ergonomic support. With a maximum weight capacity of 160 kg and a Class 3 heavy-duty hydraulic system, the OP180 is built for long-term reliability.
The chair's structure is built around a reinforced plastic frame and a heavy-duty engineered plastic base, ensuring dependable strength without compromising on aesthetics or mobility. Smooth-gliding nylon casters enable quiet, floor-friendly movement across various surfaces, making the OP180 suitable for home office flooring, shared workspaces, and corporate environments.
Boulies has incorporated a highly adjustable ergonomic system that accommodates different body types, postures, and shared usage. The OP180 offers independent seat height, seat depth, and backrest height adjustments, giving each user the ability to tailor the fit to their personal comfort preferences. The backrest reclines from 79° to 103° and can be locked at any angle within this range, allowing users to maintain an upright, focused posture or recline slightly to rest during lighter tasks. (Angle measurements refer to backrest position only.)
To support the arms and upper body, the OP180 includes detachable 3D armrests that can move up, down, and angle precisely to the user's preferred position. With soft arm-top padding and the option to remove the armrests entirely, the chair accommodates a wide variety of seating styles and desk arrangements.
Adding to its user-friendly design, the OP180 features a streamlined assembly experience requiring just six screws, allowing the chair to be fully assembled in approximately five minutes. This simplicity benefits home workers as well as organizations purchasing multiple units for office rollout.
The Boulies OP180 ergonomic desk chair is available now from the Boulies UK website for £169.99 and the Boulies US website for $289.99. We're not sure if it will end up on Amazon, but it might, so be sure to check that out too.
