So, you are not a person who wants to cook on Thanksgiving, or you might be someone who is displaced from the rest of your famlly, or you might not have any family. Whatever the reason is, it might be just something simple like - I don't want the mess, I don't want to cook, and/or I don't have a place big enough for everyone.
In any of those cases, there are some restaurants around town that will be featuring a Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day. One thing - you will probably need to make reservations well in advance. And they will most likely only be open for some limited hours for the Thanksgiving meal.
Granite City Food and Brewery- they are offering a three course dinner buffet.
Maverick's Steaks and Cocktails - they plan to serve a buffet brunch buffet.
Blue Line Sports Bar and Grill - they plan on serving a Thanksgiving feast with both dine in and take out options.
Speaking of Take out, there are places around the area that will put together the Thanksgiving meal for anyone who wants take-out instead of doing the traditional cooking fanfare.
Area Bakeries - you can pick up some great Thanksgiving themed baked goods and stuffing. There's Great Harvest Bread, Dutch Maid Bakery, Backwards Bread and Mixin It Up gluten free bakery all to choose from. Plan ahead on these so that you can pick them up in advance.
There are grocery stores that are putting together meals for people who would like to have all the ingredients in one package so there is no shopping and stress. Aldi, Coborn's, Target, Walmart, and possibly more. Usually these packs need some prep and planning - you will need to make some of it yourself. They generally just give you all the ingredients. You just need to put it together.
