By William Koblensky Varela, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter Nunavut News

After nearly a year without a contract, the Government of Nunavut and its employees represented by the Nunavut Employees Union came to a tentative agreement on Sept. 11.

Details of the agreement are not being made public until after members decide to accept or reject the terms.

The union represents 5,000 territorial workers at municipalities, housing associations, Qulliq Energy Corporation and the Pimakslirvik Corporation.
