I have read the series in the question title. I have read Mythago Wood and a couple of its sequels. I have read folk horror, and enjoy the broad everyday mundanity shading into weird and off-kilter aspects. I don't mind the horror either, as long as it's well-done, not gratuitous and absolutely does not involve cruelty to animals or children. I like stories that evoke a strong sense of a world not like ours but close to it (Little, Big).
My examples are ones that give me the sense of the nights drawing in and the mystery at the edge of the lamp light that I get when autumn moves into winter. Even if they aren't specifically set in the latter months of the year (or whenever your autumn occurs), they have (to me) that sort of feel.
I'm using fantasy as a bit of a catchall term here - if you can point to sci-fi, alternate reality, steampunk that does the same job, please bring it to the party.
