SEAFORD, Long Island (WABC) -- On Long Island Saturday night there were American flags and candles as far as the eye could see for a Charlie Kirk memorial.
Thousands of people gathered by the LIRR station in Seaford chanting Kirk's name and singing patriotic songs.
"Look at this. Saturday night -- everyone could be doing things, but instead we're here together. We are here to celebrate the life of the avatar of a generation. He gave motivation to so many young people all over this country," said one attendee.
The group vowed to keep supporting Kirk's Turning Point USA, along with its mission.
