Cops are probing an 'unexplained death' after they were called to a Scots town.
Officers from Police Scotland were dispatched to Hillside Crescent South in Midlothian this morning at around 8.10am, September 11. Cops received reports of a man who had been found unconscious, reports Edinburgh Live.
After arriving, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed the death is currently being treated as 'unexplained'.
Local residents reported a large police presence at the scene this morning.
One said: "Massive police presence in Gorebridge. Plain clothes officers and dogs walking round the whole area."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.10am on Thursday, 11 September, 2025, police received a report a man had been found unconscious on Hillside Crescent South, Gorebridge.
"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained.
"Officers remain on site and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
