Ferris State and Harding will square off on Saturday afternoon in exciting college football action with the NCAA Division II championship on the line.
Ferris State enters the championship game with a perfect 15-0 record, with only three of those wins coming by single digits. It's been a dominant run thus far this season for the Bulldogs, one they hope will continue on Saturday night, as the program hopes to earn its fourth-ever national championship, and third in four years.
In the semifinal, Ferris State trounced Newberry 49-17, with running back Carson Gulker leading the way, rushing the ball 17 times for 115 yards. Jake Price also had a great performance, running the ball 10 times for 69 yards and three touchdowns. Chase Carter and Brady Rose also combined for two touchdowns in the dominant victory.
What makes Saturday's matchup interesting is the fact that Harding has likewise been dominant on the campaign, boasting a perfect 15-0 record, with only one of its wins coming by single digits.
In its own semifinal matchup, Harding defeated No. 1 seed Kutztown 49-27, with fullback Andrew Miller leading the way. Miller rushed the ball for 157 yards and four touchdowns as Harding overwhelmed Kutztown.
