Rain Enhancement Technologies reports early results from first US installations

Rain Enhancement Technologies Holdco Inc. (NASDAQ: RAIN) announced early observations from its first two U.S. installations of weather enhancement technology systems in Colorado and Utah. The company reported that its Weather Enhancement Technology Array systems showed signs of influencing precipitation patterns during winter conditions.

The Colorado installation in Gill became operational in early November. During light showers in Weld County, the company observed a southward extension of precipitation with increased radar reflectivity where atmospheric modeling predicted the ion plume would intersect the weather system.

The Utah installation in Grand County's La Sal Mountain Range has been operational since mid-November. On November 17, the company observed precipitation patterns over the La Sal Mountains that aligned with predicted ion plume trajectories. Three-hour precipitation accumulation data showed concentration over the mountains corresponding to the installation location.

"We are encouraged by these early observations from both installations, which suggest our ionization technology is performing as expected during winter weather conditions," said Randy Seidl, CEO of Rain Enhancement Technologies.

The company stated that the U.S. weather radar network enabled direct observation of potential effects from its technology for the first time, a capability not available during previous trials in Oman and Australia. The radar infrastructure allows real-time detection of precipitation changes.

Both Colorado and Utah face drought challenges affecting agricultural operations and water supplies. Colorado's High Plains region relies on precipitation for farming and livestock, while Utah depends on mountain snowpack for 95% of its water supply.

The company referenced previous international trials that demonstrated 15-18% rainfall increases, according to the press release.
