As the 2026 models begin to roll off the production floor and into Grasso's Garage, the start of the upcoming year shows out with one heck of an automobile ready for a fresh test. The 2026 Genesis GV70 Sport Touring AWD enters Grasso's Garage and chart-topping accolades are standing by.

As it was when we tested last year's model, the GV70 is Genesis' most popular vehicle in the fleet, and for good reason. Its curves and great design set it apart from the rest. The GV70 has continued sales improvement year over year by 57% with 11,961 sold as of May 2025, up from 8,305 in May 2024. The GV70 accounted for 44% of the entire Genesis fleet sales in May 2025. Do I have your attention yet? This is one great SUV.

Powering the 2026 Genesis GV70 is a 3.5-liter twin turbo V-6 engine that produces 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with the eight-speed automatic transmission. The 21-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires, heads-up display and whopping 27-inch OLED instrument cluster were all standard on our Sport Prestige AWD tester. Nine exterior color options and four interior color options were offered on the Sport Prestige AWD model; our Mauna Red was $650 more, and it was a showstopper.

The hype for the 2026 GV70 is equally no secret and is well justified. We find it to be ultra-stylish, modern, sleek and priced right for its category. With a nicely paired powertrain, rear seat comfort and ample storage, the GV70 rides like a sedan while having the height of an SUV. The new GV70 is almost certain to win awards, as it's a consumer favorite and certainly something to be proud of.
