Last night, Karina Rykman sat in with Vansire at New York's Webster Hall. The New York-based bassist emerged for a take on The Band classic "The Weight" during Vansire's largest headlining show to date. The indie dream-pop act first befriended Rykman after remixing her song "Joyride" in 2023, and the bassist has been commonly photographed in Vansire shirts for many years, including a series of widely circulated press shots.
Vanshire will perform at Boston's Paradise Rock Club this evening while Rykman and her band will appear at My Morning Jacket's One Big Holiday in Florida form April 3-5. She will also headline Webster for the first time on May 10.
