Deputies: Shots fired into occupied vehicle in Buncombe Co.

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office reports shots were fired into an occupied vehicle.

Deputies said they responded to a report that a person had fired a firearm into an occupied vehicle on Rose Hill Road in the Reynolds Community just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to deputies, the person inside the vehicle was not hit and only suffered minor injuries from glass from the windshield.

Deputies believe the suspect was driving a gray SUV.

Sheriff Miller said this was an isolated incident and there is not a threat to the community.
