This included a green space near the rear of the Village of the Thames retirement home on Grand Avenue West, as well as various spots on the Enbridge property on Keil Drive, such as the parking lot, near a community garden and path, and along the frozen river.
Brian Stevens, wildlife pathologist for the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative in Ontario, said the group was able to get six crow specimens in for testing, with the help of the Canadian Wildlife Service.
"Samples were sent to the animal health laboratory at the University of Guelph, and all six crows tested positive for avian influenza virus," he said in an email Wednesday to The Daily News.
