More Sports. World Athletics puts an end to one of the greatest injustices in athletics
The 'Enhanced Games', an event open to athletes who dope, adds more names to the list of participants for its first edition. The likes of Frenchman Mouhamadou Fall, several times champion of his country in 100 and 200 meters and gold medalist in the European Team Championships in 2021, Ben Proud, current Olympic and world runner-up in the 50 meters freestyle, four-time Greek Olympian Kristian Gkolomeev, Irish swimmer Shane Ryan, American sprinter Fred Kerley, among others, are joined by more swimmers, another sprinter and a weightlifter
The Enhanced Games will be held on May 24, 2026, at a purpose-built complex at Resorts World Las Vegas. In the pool, Colombian Isabella Arcila and Brazilian Felipe Lima will be joined by Polish Natalia Fryckowska, Irish Max McCusker and Russian Evgenii Somov. Of these names, the presence of 40-year-old Lima, with two Olympic appearances and a silver medal in the 50m breaststroke in 2019, stands out
"The addition of these five incredibly talented and experienced international swimmers will undoubtedly intensify the competition in the pool during the first edition of the Enhanced Games. They are all respected aquatic athletes who have broken records and join our current swimmers in what is becoming an ultra-competitive field," said Rick Adams, Chief Sports Officer
