Fresh garda appeal in search for Louth man missing a year

Gardaí have made a fresh appeal for information in tracing the whereabouts of Drogheda man Anthony Hanlon one year since he went missing.

Anthony Hanlon was 39 when he was reported missing in early December 2024 and would now be aged 40.

In a renewed appeal, gardaí said that it is known that Mr Hanlon attended an appointment in Drogheda, Co Louth on 3 December last year and that he has not been seen since that date.

Both gardaí and Mr Hanlon's family are concerned for his well-being.

He is described as being 1.65m (5'5") in height, of slim build, with balding, auburn hair and blue eyes.

It is believed that he may have been wearing a grey beanie hat, black tracksuit bottoms, black runners and a tartan wool lumberjack shirt at the time.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have information about Mr Hanlon's whereabouts to contact them, no matter how relevant or not they believe the information is.

They are also seeking anyone who may have spoken to Mr Hanlon in early December 2024 to contact them.

Mr Hanlon lived in Drogheda but was originally from Dublin 1.

He had also previously lived in Ardee, Co Louth.
