3,000 companies with Turkish capital operating in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev and Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz participated in the Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Forum.

The Prime Minister noted that over the past five years, total direct investment from Turkey to the Kyrgyz economy has exceeded $1.449 billion. Trade turnover between the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkey has exceeded $2.3 billion.

These figures demonstrate the dynamic development of economic ties between our countries and the significant investment potential for their further deepening. Today, approximately 3,000 companies with Turkish capital are successfully operating in Kyrgyzstan, providing thousands of jobs. This is a tangible result of economic cooperation. We highly appreciate these efforts and are confident that our cooperation will continue to expand, he said, adding that Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation is also successfully developing in the fields of education, science, culture, and medicine.

Adylbek Kasymaliev spoke about the reforms in the country aimed at creating a favorable business environment: administrative barriers are being reduced, bureaucratic processes are being streamlined, government services are being fully digitalized, the tax and customs systems are being simplified, and investor protection is being strengthened.

Our country has significant potential in areas such as light and food industries, agriculture and processing, energy (renewable energy), transport and logistics, tourism, mining and construction, information technology, and the digital economy. In these areas, we view the Republic of Turkey as a key strategic partner, he said, adding that Kyrgyzstan is open to joint projects in areas such as digitalization, Islamic finance, fintech, education, cybersecurity, and blockchain.

In turn, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz expressed gratitude for the excellent organization of his visit to Kyrgyzstan and the 12th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral economic ties and noted Turkey's interest in further expanding cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

Approximately 200 entrepreneurs from 40 Kyrgyz and approximately 30 Turkish companies are participating in the business forum.
